1. AVIATION STUDIES TEACHER
Roles and Responsibilities
- Deliver a comprehensive Aviation Technology curriculum (theoretical and practical) in line with the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC).
- Teach aviation principles including aerodynamics, meteorology, flight operations, and aircraft maintenance.
- Prepare lesson plans and instructional materials.
- Coordinate practical activities, projects, and educational field visits.
- Assess learners' understanding of aviation concepts, safety, and career pathways.
- Prepare students for aviation-related technical assessments.
- Manage laboratory/practical equipment and ensure safety standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Aviation, Aeronautical Engineering, or Aviation Studies.
- TSC registration.
- Experience teaching aviation subjects at secondary school level.
- Proficiency in CBC teaching methodologies.
- Strong computer application skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Industry experience in aviation, maintenance, or flight operations is an added advantage.
2. MANDARIN/CHINESE TEACHER
Roles and Responsibilities
- Teach Mandarin/Chinese language to learners.
- Develop lesson plans and collaborate with the Learning Design Team.
- Create a conducive and engaging classroom environment.
- Monitor and support students' academic progress.
- Integrate technology into teaching.
- Provide feedback and set clear learning goals.
- Participate in school duties, clubs, and co-curricular activities.
- Support school programs including boarding and student development initiatives.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Education from a recognized institution.
- Design individualized training programs.
- Promote water safety and proper swimming techniques.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of the pool and equipment.
- Act as a lifeguard and respond to emergencies.
- Assess student progress and provide feedback.
- Participate in Physical Education classes and school activities.
- Ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.
Qualifications and Experience
- Recognized coaching certification (e.g., Kenya Swimming Coaches Association, YMCA, or equivalent).
- Valid Lifeguard and First Aid Certification.
- Minimum of 4 years' experience coaching swimming at secondary school level.
- Experience in competitive swimming (national level is an added advantage).
- Strong understanding of pool maintenance and aquatic facility operations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in all major swimming strokes.
