Responsibilities

Beverage Preparation

Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and espresso-based beverages including espresso, lattes, cappuccinos, Americanos, mochas, and specialty drinks.

Operate and maintain coffee machines, grinders, brewing equipment, and POS systems.

Ensure consistency in drink quality, presentation, and taste.

Follow standard recipes and beverage preparation procedures.

Customer Service & Interaction

Greet customers warmly and take accurate orders in a friendly and professional manner.

Provide product information and recommend beverages based on customer preferences.

Handle customer concerns or complaints politely and efficiently.

Ensure fast and efficient service during peak hours.

Workstation Management

Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the coffee station, equipment, and serving area at all times.

Ensure compliance with food safety and health standards.

Restock ingredients, coffee beans, milk, syrups, cups, and other supplies as needed.

Operational & Administrative Support

Assist in inventory control by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages.

Manage cash handling and operate the POS system accurately.

Participate in team meetings and support the implementation of café promotions or new menu items.

Qualifications

Key Requirements, Skills and Qualification

Diploma in Hospitality, Food & Beverage Service, or a related field

Prior experience working as a Barista in a café or restaurant environment (minimum 1 year preferred)

Strong knowledge of coffee brewing techniques, espresso extraction, milk steaming, and latte art is an added advantage

Ability to operate espresso machines, grinders, and other brewing tools

Excellent customer service and communication skills

Strong attention to detail, cleanliness, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
