Braeburn Mombasa International School is seeking a qualified Biology Teacher to join its academic team beginning in August 2026. The role is designed for an educator capable of delivering high-quality instruction in Biology within an international curriculum environment, specifically focusing on Cambridge IGCSE and A Level programmes.
Responsibilities or duties
The Biology Teacher will design and deliver Biology lessons aligned with the Cambridge IGCSE and A Level curriculum frameworks.
The role involves planning structured learning sessions that incorporate theoretical instruction, practical laboratory experiments, and inquiry-based learning methodologies.
The teacher will prepare students for external examinations by ensuring syllabus coverage, developing revision strategies, and assessing learner progress through continuous formative and summative assessments.
The position requires the management of laboratory activities, ensuring that practical sessions are conducted safely and effectively while promoting hands-on learning experiences.
The successful candidate will track student academic performance, provide detailed feedback to students and parents, and implement targeted interventions where necessary to improve learning outcomes.
The teacher will collaborate with colleagues within the science department to maintain curriculum standards, share teaching resources, and support interdisciplinary learning initiatives.

Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)
Bachelor of Science Degree in Education specializing in Biology.
Registration with the Teachers Service Commission (TSC).
Demonstrated experience teaching both IGCSE and A Level Biology.
