Role Summary

Seeking a Biology teacher to guide a Form Four student through the KCSE syllabus – Genetics, Evolution, Ecology, Reproduction, Human Body Systems, and practical skills (drawing, observation, classification).

Key Responsibilities

• Cover all Form Four Biology topics per KNEC syllabus.
• Emphasize Genetics (crosses, blood groups, inheritance patterns) and Ecology (food chains, pyramids, population estimation methods).
• Train student in drawing and labeling biological diagrams (scored in Paper 3).
• Teach practical skills – food tests, microscope work, dissection (theory/pictures).
• Review KCSE past papers (Paper 1, 2, and 3 marking schemes).
• Assign essay-style questions and model perfect answers.
• Use simple home-based demonstrations where possible.

Requirements

• B.Ed. (Biology) or B.Sc. (Zoology/Botany) with PGDE.
• Experience preparing students for KCSE Biology (minimum 2 years).
• Mastery of Paper 3 skills (observations, deductions, drawings).
• Excellent at explaining genetics and classification.
• Must be organized and motivating.
