Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and test medical equipment and devices, ensuring they meet safety and performance standards.
  • Modify and customize existing medical equipment to improve functionality and efficiency.
  • Install, calibrate, and maintain medical equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Provide technical support and training to healthcare personnel on the use and maintenance of medical equipment.
  • Conduct research and collaborate with healthcare professionals to identify and address equipment-related problems.
  • Evaluate new technologies and equipment for potential integration into healthcare facilities.
  • Develop and implement quality assurance procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Manage and document equipment inventory, including maintenance schedules and service records.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, nurses, and technicians, to optimize equipment utilization and patient care.
  • Stay informed about advancements in biomedical engineering and healthcare technology through continuous learning and professional development.
  • Perform any other duty that may be assigned from time to time.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors of biomedical engineering, or related field from a recognized institution.
  • AMEK – Association of Medical Engineers.

Experience

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a biomedical field or related field.
