Overall duties and responsibilities of the Board.
- Ensure proper and efficient exercise of the powers and performance of the functions of the Corporation;
- Advise the management of the Corporation generally on the exercise of the powers and the performance of the functions of the corporation;
- Approve the estimates of the revenue and expenditure of the Corporation; and
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and key competencies
For appointment to this position, the candidate must:
- Be a Kenyan citizen;
- Be in possession of a first degree from a university recognized in Kenya;
- Holds a Master’s degree in economics, business, law, finance, accounting or any other related field from a recognized university;
- Has experience of at least ten (10) years in senior level management in public or private sector;
- Satisfy the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution on leadership and integrity;
- Have demonstrated professional competence and managerial capabilities;
- Be visionary and strategic in approach;
- Be a team player with ability to network; and
- Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability.
