Job Overview:

We are seeking skilled and proactive Boiler Technicians to join our team across multiple locations. The successful candidates will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of industrial boilers, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with safety standards. This role requires strong technical expertise, hands-on problem-solving, and a commitment to continuous improvement through Kaizen methodologies such as TPM (Total Productive Maintenance).

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting of boilers and related systems.
  • Carry out repairs, servicing, and adjustments to ensure efficient, safe, and reliable boiler operations.
  • Install, assemble, commission, and support the integration of new boiler equipment as needed.
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults, replace defective parts, and ensure timely restoration of equipment functionality.
  • Monitor boiler performance parameters, optimize controls, and apply Kaizen and TPM practices to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime.
  • Maintain accurate service logs, maintenance schedules, spare parts records, and technical reports while coordinating with procurement and stores to ensure parts availability.
  • Train and guide boiler operators on correct usage, preventive maintenance, safety procedures, and continuous improvement practices.
  • Supervise teams of 3–10 personnel within the boiler operations docket, promoting adherence to safety and operational standards.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, operations, and safety teams to support process improvements, risk assessments, and compliance with OSH and environmental regulations.
  • Provide on-call support for emergency breakdowns and actively recommend improvements, upgrades, or modifications to enhance system reliability and performance.
  • Remain flexible to work in both day and night shifts, and stay open to ongoing training on the company’s boiler technologies.
  • Support the company’s team-scaling initiatives by maintaining stable operations, even in the absence of major current challenge

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Supervisory experience is an added advantage but not a must.
  • Experience in biomass and diesel boilers.
  • Strong understanding of boiler maintenance and repair procedures.
  • Familiarity with Kaizen methodologies, especially TPM (Total Productive Maintenance).
  • Proven problem-solving skills and ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.
