The society invites applications from suitable candidates to fill the following vacant position

Job Purpose

Provide skilled work in the installation, repair, operation, and maintenance of boiler system to safe as well efficient operation

Responsibilities or duties

• Ensure optimal and continuous operation of boiler systems by carrying out systematic preventive maintenance as required within the Standard Operating Procedures of the Maintenance Service, ensuring well-documented records for the same.
• Ensure accurate capture and recording of all critical boiler operating data through pressure gauges, steam meters, water meters; TDS meters; and all other water treatment metering devices.
• Sample and treat water systems: Perform general water treatment activities such as; water conductivity analysis, boiler chemical preparation, and water treatment system monitoring.
• Ensure correct air fuel ratio of boiler while it is running.
• Ensure adequate boiler blow down depending on TDS levels.
• Prepare the boilers for quarterly and annual services.
• Prepare the boilers for statutory annual inspections

Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)

• Diploma in electrical or mechanical plant operations
• Certificate in boiler maintenance and operations.
• Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education C –(minus)

Experience needed

• 2 years’ experience in FMCG industry is an added advantage
