We are seeking a highly disciplined, detail-driven Bookkeeper who can take full ownership of financial records across a growing, multi-location studio environment. This role is not transactional — it requires end-to-end control of the books, from daily entries to executive-level financial reporting.

You will be responsible for maintaining financial integrity across multiple systems, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and transparency in all reporting. This role directly supports leadership decision-making and requires strong judgment, accountability, and independence.

This is best suited for someone who has already managed the full bookkeeping cycle independently and can operate without constant supervision.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management & Reconciliation

  • Own and manage QuickBooks Online (QBO) including categorization and journal entries
  • Reconcile bank accounts and credit cards with full accuracy
  • Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations with supporting workpapers
  • Reconcile Stripe deposits against revenue data
  • Manage and reconcile loan accounts

Reporting & Insights

  • Deliver monthly financial statement packages (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, TTM reports)
  • Provide variance analysis and clear explanations to leadership
  • Support cash flow tracking and forecasting
  • Assist in budget development and financial planning

Revenue & Allocation

  • Record and validate revenue from Mariana Tek or similar systems
  • Allocate subscriptions and income streams accurately across locations
  • Track multiple revenue types (memberships, events, retail, training)

Vendor & Expense Management

  • Process and track vendor payments and subscriptions
  • Maintain organized invoice and payment records
  • Monitor expenses and identify efficiency opportunities

Payroll & Contractor Oversight

  • Prepare payroll data via Paychex and QBO
  • Track contractor payments and assist with 1099 reporting

Compliance & Special Projects

  • Support audit and tax preparation
  • Maintain clean, audit-ready financial records
  • Assist in expansion planning, pricing updates, and financial modeling

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven ability to own full-cycle bookkeeping independently
  • Strong command of QuickBooks Online and Excel
  • Deep understanding of reconciliations, general ledger, and financial reporting
  • High attention to detail — errors are not acceptable in this role
  • Ability to explain financials clearly to non-finance stakeholders
  • Organized, consistent, and accountable
  • Experience in service-based businesses (fitness/wellness preferred)

Non-Negotiables

  • You have done full-cycle bookkeeping hands-on (not partial exposure)
  • You can produce complete and accurate financial statements monthly
  • You are comfortable working across multiple systems and reconciling discrepancies
  • You can work independently with minimal supervision

Compensation

  • Full-time role
  • Up to $10/hour
  • Long-term opportunity with growth potential

Work Schedule Notice

Initial screening calls are conducted in the US Mountain Standard Time (MST) zone, with available windows between 3:00 AM and 1:00 PM MST. We sincerely appreciate the flexibility of our candidates across different time zones and will make every effort to schedule at a time that works for you.
