ROLE MISSION

Own how JipJab shows up in the real world. Create events people cannot stop talking about, turn great nights into lasting brand love, and make JipJab the name on Nairobi’s lips.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

The Brand Experience Lead is a producer and a host who can own the whole thing: someone who imagines a night, builds it end to end, and reads the crowd once it comes alive. You know Nairobi’s venues, music and creative scene, and people say yes when you call. You have premium taste and never ship anything mediocre. You think like an owner, move fast, and would rather run the event than talk about running it.

Character matters to our client as much as skill. Our client would want warmth, energy and hustle: the kind of person who lights up a room, stays calm when the DJ is late, and treats every guest like the night was built for them. You are happy working nights and weekends when the calendar calls for it, and you will get on a plane to the coast when a night is worth it.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design and run a connected calendar of branded events, such as sing-alongs, live band nights, silent disco sunsets, DJ parties, games nights and curated introductions, so the year reads as one story and not a string of one-offs. Around 4 to 5 events a month once ramped.
  • Own the on-the-ground guest experience so attendees leave associating the night with JipJab, and so the night lives on through the content and word of mouth it generates.
  • Work hand in hand with the Content Creation Lead and their team so every event is captured on the night and turned into content that carries it far beyond the room.
  • Scout and secure great, high-volume venues and, working with the Nairobi Sales Lead, convert those relationships into stocked listings. Around 6 to 8 new stocked venues a quarter.
  • Help oversee JipJab’s sampling campaign already in market. Organize the activations and make sure every sampling staff member is trained to standard before they represent the brand.
  • Hold the premium bar at every touchpoint. Management signs off all creative and brand elements before a night goes live.
  • Run every event budget like it is your own money. You have discretion up to a set per-event budget, and anything above goes to the CEO.

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

Required:

  • Proven experience producing live events or experiential activations end to end.
  • A real Nairobi network across venues, nightlife, music and the creative scene.
  • The ability to host, hold a room and read a crowd.
  • A self-starting owner who does not wait to be told.
  • Premium taste and an eye for detail.
  • Willing to work nights and weekends and to travel to the coast.
  • Driving license or reliable transport.

Preferred:

  • Existing venue and bar owner relationships.
  • Experience getting a brand stocked, or a trade or FMCG background.
  • Sampling and activation team management.
  • A content-capture instinct so every night feeds the brand online.
  • Drinks or hospitality industry experience.

WHAT WE OFFER

  • A front-row seat at one of East Africa’s most exciting young drinks brands, with room to grow as we do.
  • A young, dynamic, fun team that works hard and celebrates its wins together.
  • Real ownership from day one: your events, your budget, your stage.
  • A competitive package.
