About the Role

Twyford International is seeking a results-driven Overseas Fundi Manager to oversee construction (tiling & finishes), supplier management, advertising execution, and tiler engagement programs across multiple countries.

This role combines hands-on construction expertise with strategic planning, cost control, and regional coordination.

Key Responsibilities

Construction Management

  • Audit construction quotations to ensure cost efficiency
  • Review and verify onboarded construction suppliers across all countries
  • Standardize construction materials and specifications across regions
  • Conduct market visits to assess showrooms, materials, and quality standards
  • Review material costs annually and align with market rates
  • Develop and execute yearly, quarterly, and monthly construction plans
  • Track and report construction project progress (weekly & monthly)
  • Analyze showroom construction impact on sales (store & company level)
  • Continuously improve construction strategies through market and competitor analysis

Advertising Management

  • Audit and review advertising quotations
  • Verify and manage advertising suppliers
  • Standardize advertising materials based on evolving market needs
  • Develop and implement advertising plans across all countries
  • Monitor and report advertising performance
  • Improve advertising strategies using industry benchmarks and trends

Supplier & Cost Control

  • Review and approve procurement costs (materials, gifts, etc.)
  • Ensure supplier compliance and performance standards
  • Maintain strong cost control across all regions

Tiler (Fundi) Programs & Training

  • Oversee tiler engagement and reward (points & redeem) programs
  • Audit tiler points data and flag abnormal activity
  • Monitor redeem plans and execution across all countries
  • Develop engagement strategies for inactive tilers
  • Review and approve tiler training and paving budgets
  • Assess and implement training programs for tilers and marketing teams
  • Track and report training and engagement program performance

Planning & Reporting

  • Assess staffing needs across countries and support recruitment planning
  • Prepare weekly and monthly reports across construction, advertising, and tiler programs
  • Develop strategic plans (yearly, quarterly, monthly) across all functions
  • Drive continuous improvement using data, market trends, and competitor insights

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Construction, Building & Construction, or Interior Design
  • 5–10+ years of experience in construction/project management
  • Strong experience managing fundis (tilers, masons, finishing teams)
  • Experience in procurement, supplier management, and cost control
  • Ability to manage multi-country operations
  • Strong knowledge of tiling, finishes, and construction materials
  • Excellent leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Good communication skills (English required; Swahili is an advantage)
  • Proficiency in Excel and reporting tools

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in tile or building materials industry
  • Exposure to advertising/marketing project coordination
  • Experience working across African markets
