Responsibilities or duties
Financial Services Account Growth & Development
- Develop and execute growth plans for assigned financial services customers.
- Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities across multiple departments, branches, and business units within customer organizations.
- Increase customer penetration and wallet share through consultative selling.
- Strengthen relationships within existing customers to unlock additional business opportunities.
- Develop customer-specific engagement plans to support long-term account growth.
- Position the clients solutions based on customer needs and business requirements.
New Business Development
- Identify, prospect, and acquire new customers within banks, insurance companies, and related financial institutions.
- Create and convert new opportunities through proactive market engagement.
- Develop tailored proposals and commercial solutions.
- Lead customer presentations, negotiations, and commercial discussions.
- Identify and manage tender opportunities from pre qualification to award.
- Explore new revenue opportunities and partnerships within the Financial Services sector.
Commercial Management & Execution
- Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of opportunities.
- Monitor opportunity progression and conversion plans.
- Maintain accurate sales forecasts, CRM updates, and customer records.
- Track market trends, customer needs, and competitor activity.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless customer experience and execution.
- Achieve assigned revenue, gross profit, and collection targets.
Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Sales & Marketing, or a related field.
- Professional qualification in Sales, Business Development, or Key Account Management will be an added advantage.
- Exposure to insurance or financial institutions will be an added advantage.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Minimum 7 years’ experience in B2B sales, business development, or key account management.
- Proven experience managing large corporate customers, preferably within banks, insurance companies, or complex institutional accounts.
- Demonstrated success in growing accounts and developing new business opportunities.
- Strong consultative selling and solution development skills.
- Ability to engage and influence senior customer stakeholders.
- Experience handling tenders, negotiations, and complex commercial opportunities.
- Strong commercial acumen with excellent planning and relationship management skills.
- Ability to identify growth opportunities and drive customer expansion.
