Our client, a manufacturing company, is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager who will be Responsible for identifying, creating, developing, and implementing an effective sales strategy. The aim is to drive sustainable financial growth for the company through boosting sales and forging strong relationships with our customers.
The role shall, among other sales strategies, manage and grow our distributorship channels, identify and implement new sales leads, champion market penetration strategies for new product development, and manage all resources deployed directly or indirectly towards the business development function.
Key Responsibilities:
• Build and manage customer relationships to earn sustainable loyalty that supports our growth strategy.
• Achieve target sales volumes by engaging customers through visits, phone calls, and order generation.
• Conduct price surveys for timely advice to the Management for pricing reviews to ensure the products remain competitive.
• Gather market intelligence. Tabulate, compare and share with recommendation.
• Drive sales turnover, revenue, and profitability.
• Customer Performance tracking by monitoring and tracking of accounts sales purchase towards achieving sales targets.
• Activate Market Product availability audit to ensure wide availability of the product.
• Account management to have customer account aligned and rolling for order conversion.
• Manage and maintain debt collection rates at acceptable levels for key account.
• Analyze and resolve sales related gaps.
• Performance management of team to ensure all are aligned to strategic direction of company
• Ensure regular product training.
Requirements:
• BSc. / BA in Business related field, from a reputable University
• Minimum 5 years’ experience of which should be in a similar role.
• Ability to analyse sales performance metrics
• Experience in FMCG/ Manufacturing industry in the same capacity
• Good problem-solving skills
• Good analytical skills
• Able to work within tight deadlines & under pressure
• Great negotiation & relationship building skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong analytical skills & proficient in Microsoft office
• Able and willing to travel across the designated regions.
• Strong communication, Good customer service attitude and negotiation skills
