Responsibilities or duties
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive sales and business development strategies aligned with company objectives
- Lead, manage, and motivate the sales team to achieve both individual and overall performance targets
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including partnerships with distributors, healthcare institutions, and government entities
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through consistent engagement, needs assessment, and tailored solutions
- Conduct market research to track industry trends, competitor activity, and evolving customer needs
- Deliver compelling product demonstrations to clients and stakeholders to drive conversions
- Lead high-value negotiations, finalize contracts, and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment and effective execution of strategies
- Manage the sales pipeline, track performance metrics, and prepare regular reports for management
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Sales & Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field (mandatory)
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Willingness and ability to travel frequently across the region
Experience needed
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in sales and business development within the medical equipment or consumables sector
- Proven track record of driving business growth, expanding market share, and consistently achieving sales targets
- Prior experience working with distributors; regional (East Africa) exposure is an added advantage
- Demonstrated experience in leading and managing sales teams
