To support this vision, they are seeking a strategic, results-driven Business Development Manager to lead growth initiatives, expand market reach, and build high-impact partnerships.
Role Purpose
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving sustainable business growth by identifying new market opportunities, expanding the customer base, strengthening strategic partnerships, and ensuring high performance standards aligned with the organization’s strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute business development strategies to accelerate revenue growth and market penetration.
- Provide leadership to sales teams and loan officers to ensure consistent achievement of portfolio and growth targets.
- Identify new markets, customer segments, partnerships, and distribution channels to support expansion.
- Support branch growth by researching and recommending viable locations for new outlets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and key stakeholders to enhance retention and loyalty.
- Lead client acquisition initiatives and actively market the organization’s products and services.
- Oversee portfolio quality and delinquency management in collaboration with credit and operations teams.
- Establish and manage strategic partnerships, referral channels, and commercial agreements.
- Analyse market trends, competitor activity, and customer insights to inform strategic decisions.
- Recruit, coach, and develop high-performing teams while fostering a performance-driven culture.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional certifications in Sales, Business Development, or Marketing are an added advantage.
Experience & Skills
- Proven experience in business development, sales, or financial services.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to drive revenue and profitability.
- Demonstrated leadership and people management capability.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Strong analytical and market research abilities.
- Highly results-oriented with strong execution and problem-solving skills.
