Role Context

We are looking for a Business Development Officer who will play a key role in expanding the Corporate Life Assurance portfolio hence driving the growth and success of the company. The incumbent will be responsible for acquiring profitable new business through Banks & MFIs and implementing strategies to help achieve the company's sales and revenue targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Acquisition of new Banks & MFIs' relationships. Identify and pursue new business opportunities for the company
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with bank staff to enhance business collaboration
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and other departments to develop and implement business development strategies
  • Prepare and deliver sales presentations and proposals to prospective clients
  • Achieve or exceed sales and revenue targets per Month
  • Provide product information, customer presentations and frontline training support
  • Coordinate documentation, underwriting requirements and policy issuance Monitor industry trends and market conditions

Key Qualifications & Professional Experience

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Economics, Finance or Marketing and any other Business related field.
  • Significant progress in professional papers. i.e. (Diploma in Insurance, AIIK, CIM etc.)
  • At least 4 years of experience in Business Development, sales, or a related field.
  • Experience dealing with financial institutions.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Experience managing budgets and reviewing financial statements
