Role Context
This role sits at the intersection of finance, analytics, and commercial operations, helping the organization maximize vessel utilization, optimize cargo allocations, and strengthen revenue performance through data-driven insights.
Responsibilities or Duties
The successful candidate will play a key role in:
- Voyage allocation and cargo mix optimization
- Revenue and financial performance analysis
- Volume forecasting and commercial reporting
- Market intelligence and competitor analysis
- CRM opportunity analysis and sales steering
- Equipment planning and capacity optimization
Location
Mombasa, Kenya
Qualifications or Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Logistics, Supply Chain, or Maritime Studies
Experience Needed
5+ years experience in shipping commercial operations, revenue management, or capacity planning
Skills
- Strong analytical skills with advanced Excel capabilities
- Experience with CRM systems and shipping line systems (FIS, COMPASS or similar)
- Strong understanding of trade lanes and allocation control
