About the Role

Key Responsibilities:

Strategy & Tech Architecture: Define and lead our 3-year technology roadmap. Audit and evaluate the quality, security, and scalability of our existing solutions, infrastructure, and tools (EDUKA, XERO, Toddle).

System Integration & Data Bridges: Act as the master architect of our ecosystem. Ensure our tools seamlessly “talk” to each other by identifying the best integration methods—whether that means developing custom APIs or finding smart, alternative systems to extract, copy, and materialize data.

AI & Automation Innovation: Stay at the absolute forefront of AI developments. Proactively identify, pilot, and deploy agile automation and AI use cases to eliminate heavy manual processes and optimize school operations.

Human-Centric Change Management: Drive digital transformation with high emotional intelligence. Understand the human consequences of tech adoption and lead cross-functional initiatives to support, train, and unite local school teams around new standards.

Data Mastery: Design and deploy robust BI dashboards (Looker Studio, Power BI) to provide the Executive Committee with surgical precision on key metrics (Revenue, Retention, Academics).

Team & Partner Leadership: Lead and grow the central Business Efficiency team using OKRs, while managing external tech providers with a high standard for ROI and delivery.

Requirements

We are looking for a “Hands-on Strategist” who can shift instantly from a high-level corporate vision to writing code or troubleshooting a server issue on the ground.

Your profile in 6 points:

The Hybrid Engineer/Business Profile: You hold an Engineering background coupled with strong Business Acumen (ideally with SI/Management consulting or multi-site scale-up experience). You are both a tech expert and a business problem-solver.

The “Geek Mindset” with Practical Agility: You are genuinely passionate about technology, systems, and data pipelines. You don’t just recommend expensive software; you know how existing code works and prefer building smart, lightweight, and value-driven solutions.

Advanced Integration Skills: Proven technical capability in evaluating IT infrastructures and building data bridges (API development, data extraction, script writing, middleware).

AI Forward & Solution-Oriented: A natural problem-solver, constantly looking at how AI can optimize workflows, while keeping a sharp eye on data privacy and practical field limitations.

Cross-Functional Leadership: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to navigate complex human dynamics, practice influence management, and lead teams across diverse geographical locations without direct reporting lines.

Language Skills: Full professional proficiency in English is mandatory. The ability to work and communicate effectively in French is highly valued.

Contract, Location, and Eligibility

Contract: Open to both permanent employment (CDI) or Independent Consulting/Freelance contracts.

Location: This position must be based on the African continent, preferably in one of our 11 countries of operation.

Eligibility: Applicants must be legally authorized to work or operate as a consultant in their chosen country of residence.

Why Join Us?

A Mission with Purpose: A direct impact on the future of education across the African continent.

True Ownership & Influence: With a strategic role within the company, you have a blank canvas to design your roadmap, experiment with cutting-edge tech, and see the immediate impact of your work on the ground.

Agility over Bureaucracy: We value results and pragmatism. You will enjoy a high degree of autonomy to move fast and solve real challenges in a flexible working environment.

A Value-Driven Team: Join a passionate, pan-African team where a “builder” mindset, humility, and a deep commitment to our students’ success are at the heart of everything we do.
