Role Summary

To teach Christian Religious Education following the CBC framework, helping learners understand biblical teachings, Christian values, and their application in modern life, while promoting moral development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver C.R.E lessons covering Old and New Testament stories, teachings of Jesus, Christian ethics, and contemporary issues.
  • Use storytelling, drama, role-play, and group discussions to make lessons interactive.
  • Organise school chapel services, Bible reading sessions, and Christian Union activities (if applicable).
  • Guide learners in memorising and interpreting key Bible verses.
  • Assess learners through oral questions, projects (e.g., community service reports), and reflections.
  • Foster values like honesty, forgiveness, compassion, and respect.
  • Collaborate with the school guidance and counselling team.

Requirements

  • Diploma in Education (C.R.E) or B.Ed. (Religious Studies).
  • TSC registration.
  • Strong personal Christian conduct and role-modelling.
  • At least 1 year teaching C.R.E at primary/Junior School level.
  • Ability to make Bible stories relevant and enjoyable.
