Background
Tatu is a project of Rendeavour, Africa’s largest urban land developer with over 30,000 acres of visionary projects in the growth trajectories of large cities in Kenya, Ghana, Nigeria, Zambia and Democratic Republic of Congo. Rendeavour’s vision goes beyond alleviating what is a self-evident problem - that of stifling urban congestion and a dearth of quality housing and commercial property in Africa. Rather, we aim to help create the infrastructure - the living and working spaces, communities, schools and hospitals - that will help sustain and accelerate Africa’s economic growth, meet the aspirations of Africa’s burgeoning middle classes, and serve as a catalyst for further urban development.
Responsibilities
- Prepare comprehensive CAD and Revit drawings across all project stages, from preliminary to schematic and construction.
- Develop schematic and detailed landscape documentation, including:
- Planting plans (trees, shrubs, groundcover)
- Planting schedules and plant lists
- Planter designs and construction details
- Hardscape plans (paving layouts, edging types, materials per architectural/landscape specifications)
- Hardscape and material schedule
- Pavement buildup and sublayer details
- Levels and Setout/dimension plans
- Outdoor furniture layouts and schedule plans
- Manage title blocks and drawing revisions periodically
- Produce detailed sections, elevations, and construction details as required.
- Assist in preparing full coordinated drawing packages aligned with architectural and landscape design intent.
- Work closely with architects, urban planners, and landscape designers to translate design intent into technical documentation.
- Coordinate drawing updates based on design revisions, consultant inputs, and site requirements.
- Ensure consistency, accuracy, and compliance with relevant standards and project guidelines.
Qualifications
- 4 years' experience in a similar role.
- Prior experience as a CAD Technician in architecture, landscape design, or urban planning and design is preferred.
- Experience with residential, mixed-use, or public realm projects is an advantage.
- Sample document set is required prior to scheduling and interview.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit (mandatory).
- Strong understanding of landscape architectural drawings and construction detailing.
- Ability to produce clear, precise, and well-organized drawing sets.
