Our client is seeking a skilled and reliable Carpenter / Joiner to join their team in Naromoru. The role involves undertaking various carpentry and joinery tasks including furniture work, fittings, repairs, and installation of wooden structures.
Responsibilities or duties
- Perform carpentry and joinery work including furniture making, fittings, and installations.
- Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood and related materials.
- Install doors, cabinets, shelves, and other wooden structures.
- Repair and maintain wooden structures and fixtures.
- Read and interpret basic carpentry drawings and measurements.
- Ensure high-quality finishing and workmanship.
- Maintain tools and ensure safety standards are followed.
Qualifications or requirements
Minimum Requirements
- Certificate or Diploma in Carpentry, Joinery, or Building Technology from a recognized institution.
- Minimum 2 years’ practical experience in carpentry or joinery work.
- Experience in furniture making, cabinetry, or construction carpentry is an added advantage.
- Strong practical and finishing skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Honest, reliable, and detail-oriented.
- Strong measurement and woodwork skills
- Attention to detail and quality finishing
- Good problem-solving ability
- Strong work ethic and reliability
