CARPENTER

Job Purpose

The Carpenter will perform carpentry and joinery work for construction projects, including structural, finishing, and installation activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Measure, cut, shape, and assemble timber and other materials.
• Construct formwork for concrete works.
• Install doors, windows, frames, ceilings, and other wooden structures.
• Read and interpret basic construction drawings and measurements.
• Repair and maintain wooden structures where required.
• Select appropriate materials and minimize wastage.
• Operate carpentry tools and equipment safely.
• Ensure finished work meets required quality and dimensions.
• Maintain tools and equipment properly.
• Follow health and safety procedures on site.
• Keep the work area clean and organized.

Qualifications & Skills

• Relevant carpentry training or practical experience.
• Proven experience in construction carpentry is an advantage.
• Good measurement and practical skills.
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Physically fit and reliable.

Work Hours: 8

Experience in Months: 12

Level of Education: high school
