CASHIER

Job Summary

The Cashier will be responsible for processing customer transactions accurately and efficiently while providing excellent customer service and maintaining proper cash-handling procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide friendly, professional service.
• Process cash, card, mobile money, and other approved payments.
• Issue receipts and ensure all transactions are accurately recorded.
• Handle cash responsibly and maintain an accurate cash drawer.
• Assist customers with product and pricing enquiries.
• Process returns, exchanges, and refunds in accordance with company procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation around the checkout area.
• Report discrepancies, payment issues, or suspicious transactions to the supervisor.
• Support other retail activities during busy periods.
• Follow company policies on cash handling, customer service, and security.

Requirements

• Previous cashier or retail experience is an advantage.
• Good numerical and basic computer skills.
• Excellent customer-service and communication skills.
• Honesty, integrity, and attention to detail.
• Ability to work accurately under pressure.
• Professional and presentable appearance.
