Cashier

Job Summary

The Cashier is responsible for providing excellent customer service by accurately processing customer purchases, handling payments, and maintaining a clean and organized checkout area. The role requires honesty, efficiency, and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Scan and process purchases accurately.
• Receive cash, card, and mobile payments.
• Issue receipts and provide correct change.
• Balance the cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift.
• Resolve customer queries or refer them to supervisors.
• Maintain cleanliness of the checkout area.
• Promote customer loyalty programs and ongoing promotions.
  

Requirements

• KCSE Certificate or equivalent.
• Previous cashier experience is an added advantage.
• Basic computer skills.
• Good numerical and communication skills.
• Honest, courteous, and customer-focused.

Work Hours: 8

Experience in Months: 12

Level of Education: high school
