Background

Power Max General Electrical Merchants, is your source for the widest selection of in-door and out-door lighting, electrical fittings, emergency lighting and all solar solutions.

Responsibilities

Receive payments made via cash, card, or mobile money from customers.

Issue VAT receipts using the ETR machine for all eligible transactions.

Issue refunds, credits, or change due to customers.

Count money in cash drawers at the beginning of shifts to ensure that amounts are correct and that there is adequate change.

Greet customers entering establishments.

Maintain clean and orderly checkout areas.

Resolve customer complaints.

Answer customers' questions, and provide information on procedures or policies.

Cash checks for customers.

Calculate total payments received during a time period, and reconcile this with total sales.

Compute and record totals of transactions.

Keep periodic balance sheets of amounts and numbers of transactions.

Monitor checkout stations to ensure that they have adequate cash available

Any other duties assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

Must be based in Mombasa

Certificate or Diploma in Business, Accounting, or a related field.

Previous experience in cashiering will be an added advantage.

Strong numerical and cash-handling skills.

High level of honesty, integrity, and attention to detail.

Ability to handle cash accurately and maintain proper records.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Strong customer service orientation.

Basic computer literacy, including familiarity with POS systems and ETR machines.
