JOB DETAILS:

CASHIER

Job Purpose

The Cashier will handle customer payments accurately and efficiently while maintaining proper records of transactions and providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive and process cash, card, mobile money, and other approved payments.
• Issue receipts and provide accurate change where applicable.
• Record and reconcile daily transactions.
• Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately.
• Assist customers with billing and payment enquiries.
• Maintain cash security and confidentiality.
• Report discrepancies or payment issues to the supervisor.
• Keep the cashier station clean and organized.
• Coordinate with waiters, kitchen staff, and management.
• Follow company financial and cash-handling procedures.

Qualifications & Skills

• Previous cashier or customer-service experience is an advantage.
• Basic computer/POS skills.
• Good numerical and record-keeping abilities.
• Honesty, integrity, and attention to detail.
• Good communication and customer-service skills.
• Ability to work accurately in a busy environment.

Work Hours: 8

Experience in Months: 12

Level of Education: high school
