We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Casual Bartender to join our distinguished team and work within a bustling 5-star hotel environment. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the luxury hospitality setting through the delivery of top-notch beverage experiences to esteemed guests.

Key Responsibilities

Cocktail Crafting & Beverage Dispensing:

  • Create and serve a variety of signature and classic cocktails with precision and flair.
  • Customize drinks to accommodate guest preferences and dietary restrictions.
  • Dispense beverages as per the standard operation procedures following the guest’s request.

Guest Engagement:

  • Provide attentive and personable service to guests at the bar.
  • Engage with patrons to ensure a memorable and enjoyable experience.

Product Knowledge:

  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of the beverage menu, including wines, spirits, and other offerings.
  • Stay informed about current mixology trends and incorporate them into the bar's offerings.

Bar Setup and Maintenance:

  • Set up the bar area before service, ensuring cleanliness and organization.
  • Regularly check and restock bar supplies, including glassware, garnishes, and liquors.

Guest Education:

  • Educate guests on the characteristics of various spirits and wines, providing recommendations when requested.
  • Offer insights into the creation and history of specific cocktails.

Upselling and Revenue Generation:

  • Suggest premium and specialty beverages to enhance the guest experience.
  • Encourage participation in promotions and upsell high-margin items.

Compliance and Safety:

  • Adhere to all alcohol service laws and regulations.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in the bar area, following health and safety guidelines.

Team Collaboration:

  • Coordinate with servers, kitchen staff, and other team members to ensure seamless service.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues to maintain a smooth workflow.

Requirements

  • At least 6 months working experience within a bar or beverage service operation with a degree / diploma / certificate in hospitality management OR 2 years working experience in a restaurant or hotel with a non-hospitality management degree / diploma.
  • Proven experience as a bartender in a high-end hotel, upscale bar, or fine dining establishment.
  • Extensive knowledge of mixology, cocktails, and beverage trends.
  • Exceptional guest service and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as per the business needs.
