Job Overview:

The Charging Infrastructure Engineer plays a key role in the design, installation, and quality control of EV charging infrastructure. You’ll be responsible for developing electrical designs, supervising installations, ensuring quality control for bikes and charging stations, and contributing to R&D of charging infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with Lead Engineer to explore new technologies, optimise designs, and improve charging efficiency; participate in prototyping and testing charging network solutions.
  • Mazi Mobility
  • Electrical design of charging infrastructure: develop electrical schematics and layouts for EV charging stations & battery swapping systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
  • Mazi Mobility
  • Collaborate to develop/optimise firmware for battery swapping stations/EV charging infrastructure to enhance system efficiency and interoperability.
  • Mazi Mobility
  • Work with technicians and contractors to execute electrical installations for charging infrastructure; conduct inspections to ensure proper implementation of designs.

  • Perform QC checks on electric bikes, charging stations, power systems to ensure optimal performance and safety; identify/troubleshoot electrical faults and system inefficiencies.

  • Reporting & documentation: maintain detailed records of electrical designs, installations, firmware updates, QC activities; provide regular updates to Engineering Lead; contribute to system development strategies.

  • Provide support across engineering and non-engineering tasks as needed; proactive, flexible approach.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • BSc in Electrical, Electronics, or Power Engineering or related field.
  • Mazi Mobility
  • Hands-on experience with electrical system design, power distribution, or EV charging infrastructure is a plus.
  • Mazi Mobility
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, ETAP or similar electrical design software.
  • Mazi Mobility
  • Strong understanding of power systems, electrical safety, grid connectivity.
  • Mazi Mobility
  • Familiarity with battery charging principles, energy management, protection systems.
  • Mazi Mobility
  • Strong analytical/troubleshooting skills; excellent communication and documentation.

  • Ability to work independently and lead on-site teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in EV charging infrastructure design and deployment.

  • Prior involvement in quality control and compliance testing.
