Haven Hospital Limited is seeking to recruit a skilled, reliable, and dedicated CHEF to join our hospital catering team.

• Preparing and cooking meals for patients, staff, and other authorized hospital clients.
• Preparing meals according to approved patient diet plans and dietary restrictions.
• Ensuring meals are nutritious, hygienically prepared, properly portioned, and served on time.
• Following prescribed menus and maintaining consistency in food quality.
• Ensuring proper handling, preparation, cooking, storage, and serving of food.
• Maintaining high standards of personal hygiene and kitchen cleanliness.
• Preventing cross-contamination during food preparation.
• Checking the quality and freshness of food ingredients before use.
• Properly storing food items and observing FEFO requirements.
• Monitoring kitchen stock and reporting shortages or damaged/expired food items.
• Minimizing food wastage while maintaining appropriate portion sizes.
• Ensuring kitchen equipment and utensils are properly cleaned and safely used.
• Complying with hospital food safety, infection prevention, and occupational health and safety requirements.
• Working closely with the hospital’s nursing, clinical, and nutrition regarding patient meals.
• Maintaining confidentiality and professionalism when handling patient dietary information.
• Performing any other duties assigned by the supervisor or hospital management.

• Diploma in Food Production, Culinary Arts, Catering, or a related field from a recognized institution.
• Previous experience working as a Chef, preferably in a hospital, hotel, restaurant, or institutional kitchen.
• Good knowledge of food preparation, cooking, presentation, and portion control.
• Knowledge of food hygiene, sanitation, and safe food handling practices.
• Understanding of special diets and the ability to prepare meals according to prescribed dietary requirements.
• Knowledge of proper food storage and stock rotation, including FEFO (First Expiry, First Out).
• Ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness in the kitchen and food preparation areas.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet meal service schedules.
• High level of discipline, reliability, cleanliness, and professionalism.
• A valid Food Handler’s Certificate/Medical Certificate, where applicable, will be an added advantage.
