Position: Chef
Salary: KSh 32,000 per month
Location: Kenya

Job Summary:
The Chef will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals, maintaining food safety standards, managing kitchen operations, and ensuring customers receive well-prepared and consistently presented food.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook meals according to the restaurant’s menu and standards.
• Ensure food is fresh, properly stored, and safely handled.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and food preparation areas.
• Monitor food portions, quality, and presentation.
• Assist with stock-taking and control of kitchen ingredients and supplies.
• Minimize food wastage and maintain efficient kitchen operations.
• Work closely with other kitchen and restaurant staff.
• Follow health, safety, and food-handling regulations.

Requirements:

• Certificate, diploma, or relevant training in culinary arts/food production is an advantage.
• Previous experience as a chef or cook in a restaurant or hospitality environment.
• Good knowledge of food preparation and kitchen hygiene.
• Ability to work under pressure and for extended periods when required.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
