Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced Chemistry teacher to prepare a Form Four student for KCSE, covering both Organic, Inorganic, and Physical Chemistry, with strong emphasis on practicals and calculations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete Form Four Chemistry syllabus (Acids/Bases, Salts, Electrolysis, Organic Chemistry, Energy Changes, Reaction Rates, etc.).
  • Teach titration calculations, mole concept, gas laws, and empirical formulae.
  • Provide practical simulations or diagrams for qualitative analysis.
  • Review KCSE practical exams (Paper 3) including flow charts and observations.
  • Use past KCSE papers for continuous assessment.
  • Identify and remediate weak topics from earlier forms.
  • Create concise revision notes and question banks.

Requirements

  • B.Ed. (Chemistry) or B.Sc. (Chemistry) with teaching qualification.
  • Minimum 2 years teaching/tutoring KCSE Chemistry.
  • Deep knowledge of KCSE marking schemes (especially Paper 3).
  • Ability to teach practical skills without a full lab (using diagrams and memory aids).
  • Patient, punctual, and organized.
