JOB DETAILS:
Job Summary
The CEO is responsible for the day-to-day management of all affairs of the association, in accordance with the association's Constitution. He/she will serve as a link between the members and the Secretariat and will oversee the implementation of policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure all the association's operations are in conformity with prevailing statutory and regulatory requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Implement the association's strategy as directed by the National Executive Council.
• Advise the Council on long-term corporate strategies and business plans.
• Develop a resource mobilization strategy that addresses financial challenges of the Association.
• Develop the annual operating budget for the Association, and manage it within set guidelines.
• Ensure prudent management of assets and financial resources through accountability.
• Inform members of the new legal requirements through correspondence and meetings.
• Mapping the areas with potential members, recruiting them, and presenting necessary reports.
• Work closely with policymakers to ensure compliance as necessary.
• Engage potential donors/funders on sponsorship of the Association's activities.
• Preparing reports to the NEC on the secretariat's general operations.
• Benchmarking with other associations within Kenya and outside to get important information for members. For best practices and trying to harmonize on raw materials etc.

Experience, qualifications and training required
• Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Communication, and Public Relations OR related field required. An MBA or other relevant Master's degree is preferred.
• At least Ten (10) Years' experience in Executive Leadership.
• Demonstrated experience in resource mobilization.
• Strong track record of Strategic Planning & Execution.
• Must be self-driven and result-oriented.
• Ability to build strong work relationships and partnerships.
• Must exhibit high standards of professional ethics.
