JOB DETAILS:

Our client, a leading player in the manufacturing sector, is seeking a strategic and hands-on Chief Financial Officer to guide the financial health and drive the growth agenda of the company. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned financial leader with a proven track record in the unique and complex environment of manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead the company's long-term financial strategy and annual operating plans (budgets).
• Conduct rigorous financial modeling and analysis to evaluate new projects, investments, market expansions, and potential mergers/acquisitions.
• Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to the CEO and board to support strategic decision-making.
• Oversee all aspects of cost accounting, with a deep focus on analyzing production costs, overhead, and supply chain expenses.
• Implement robust cost-control measures and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements and cost reduction without compromising quality

Qualifications

A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field is required.

Technical Expertise

• In-depth knowledge of cost accounting principles, inventory management, and supply chain finance.
• Proven experience with financial reporting under IFRS, Kenyan tax law, and regulatory compliance.
• High proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics).

• Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a high-performing finance team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with all levels of the organization, from the factory floor to the boardroom.
• Strategic Mindset: Must be a strategic business partner to the CEO, capable of translating financial data into actionable business strategies to drive profitability and growth.
