Background
Konza Technopolis Development Authority (KoTDA) is a state corporation established under the Konza Technopolis Development Authority Act, 2012. Its mandate is to develop Konza Technopolis as a sustainable, world-class "smart city" and a hub for innovation and technology in Kenya.
Responsibilities
The Chief Manager, Corporate Research and Strategy will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of the Authority's corporate strategy, research initiatives, and innovation programs. Key duties include:
- Developing and overseeing the execution of the corporate strategic plan.
- Conducting market research and feasibility studies to identify new opportunities and trends.
- Fostering innovation and entrepreneurship within the technopolis ecosystem.
- Monitoring and evaluating the performance of strategic initiatives.
- Building and maintaining strategic partnerships with stakeholders.
Qualifications and Experience
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A Master's degree in a relevant field such as Business Administration, Strategy, Economics, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, with at least 5 years in a senior management role.
- Proven track record in strategic planning, research, and innovation management.
- Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
- Experience in the technology or urban development sector is an added advantage.
