JOB DETAILS:
Position: Civil Engineer
Job Summary:
The Civil Engineer will oversee and coordinate civil engineering works on construction projects, ensuring that works are executed according to approved designs, specifications, quality standards, budgets, and timelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, supervise, and coordinate civil construction works.
- Review engineering drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
- Supervise contractors, subcontractors, and site teams.
- Monitor construction progress and ensure compliance with approved designs.
- Conduct site inspections and quality-control checks.
- Identify technical challenges and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Coordinate civil works with other engineering and construction disciplines.
- Prepare site reports, progress reports, and technical documentation.
- Monitor materials, workmanship, and construction methods.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and construction requirements.
- Participate in project meetings and liaise with clients, consultants, and contractors.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
- Registration with the relevant professional body in Kenya is an advantage/required where applicable.
- Relevant experience in civil engineering and construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and engineering standards.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
