Responsibilities or duties
As a Claims Analyst, you will be responsible for:
- Reviewing and processing insurance claims accurately and efficiently.
- Investigating claim details, gathering necessary documentation, and verifying policy coverage.
- Assessing claim validity and determining appropriate settlement amounts in accordance with company policies and regulations.
- Communicating with policyholders, claimants, and other stakeholders to provide updates and resolve inquiries.
- Identifying potential fraud or abuse and escalating suspicious cases for further investigation.
- Maintaining accurate and organized claim records.
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of claims processing procedures.
Qualifications or requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience in claims analysis or a similar role within the insurance industry.
- Strong understanding of insurance principles, policies, and procedures.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
Experience needed
Minimum of 2 years of experience in claims analysis.
