Sanitizing: Cleaning and disinfecting high-touch areas such as door handles, light switches, and restrooms. Waste management: Emptying trash bins and disposing of waste properly. Restocking supplies: Replenishing cleaning and hygiene products like soap, paper towels, and toilet paper. Maintenance and reporting: Notifying management of any defects, safety issues, or needed repairs. Safe chemical handling: Properly using, storing, and disposing of cleaning chemicals.
Attention to detail: Noticing and cleaning small areas that might be overlooked. Physical stamina: Being able to stand, bend, and lift for extended periods. Time management: Efficiently completing all tasks within the allotted schedule. Organization: Keeping cleaning supplies and equipment in order. Communication: Effectively understanding instructions and interacting with others. Adaptability: Handling different environments and unexpected situations. Problem-solving: Addressing issues like spills effectively. Work ethic: Being reliable, trustworthy, and focused.
Formal education: A high school diploma or equivalent may be preferred but is often not required. Experience: Some roles may require a minimum of six months of cleaning experience, but this is not always mandatory. Knowledge: Understanding of cleaning products and their safe use, as well as health and safety standards. Physical fitness: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks for the entire shift.
