Background

We are seeking a competent, detail-oriented, and ethical Clerk of Works to support the Operations Department by overseeing construction, maintenance, and refurbishment works to ensure quality, compliance, and value for money.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and inspect construction, renovation, and maintenance works to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, contracts, and standards.
- Monitor workmanship, materials, and site practices to ensure quality and safety compliance.
- Ensure contractors adhere to project timelines, scope, and approved budgets.
- Conduct regular site inspections and prepare progress, defect, and completion reports.
- Identify defects, substandard work, or non-compliance and ensure corrective action is taken.
- Verify quantities, measurements, and quality of works completed before certification or payment recommendations.
- Liaise with contractors, consultants, and internal stakeholders on site matters.
- Ensure compliance with occupational health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Maintain accurate site records, drawings, variation instructions, and correspondence.
- Report any unusual occurrences or risks through approved reporting channels.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Building Construction, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in construction supervision, site inspection, or clerk of works.
- Strong knowledge of building codes, construction standards, and health & safety regulations.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, BOQs, and specifications.
- Registration with a relevant professional body is an added advantage.
