Role Summary:
Powervision Consultancy is recruiting a Clinical Psychologist for a reputable healthcare facility in Nairobi. The Clinical Psychologist will be responsible for providing comprehensive psychological assessment, diagnosis, therapy, and counselling services to patients in a hospital or mental health setting. The role requires strong clinical skills, professional ethics, and the ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to support patient mental health and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and evaluations for patients.
- Diagnose mental health conditions and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Provide evidence-based therapy and counselling services to individuals, couples, and groups.
- Offer crisis intervention and support for patients in acute distress.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated patient care.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records and documentation.
- Provide psychoeducation to patients and their families.
- Stay updated on the latest research, techniques, and best practices in clinical psychology.
- Contribute to mental health awareness and wellness initiatives within the facility.
- Adhere to professional ethical standards and code of conduct.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Clinical Psychology, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a hospital or mental health setting.
- Strong skills in psychological assessment, counselling, diagnosis, and therapy.
- Excellent communication skills and high professional ethics.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
