  • The Commercial Analyst will play a critical role in strengthening the commercial operations of TBI. This role supports the end-to-end bid development lifecycle, including developing project costings, maintaining bid infrastructure, analysing project performance, improving pipeline data, and driving learning into future commercial models.
  • This is a dynamic, analytical role suited to a commercially minded individual with strong attention to detail, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to work across multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with wider stakeholders to develop commercial proposals in line with commercial guidance where applicable.
  • Review BVAs to understand project performance, ensuring all billable time is accounted for as per budget.
  • Generate feedback loop and ensure project lessons are implemented in new proposals.
  • Provides financial and contractual performance data to the FBP
  • Maintain and improve bid templates, content libraries, and best practices.
  • Builds central repository of templates, playbooks, and shared lessons.
  • When not on proposals, conduct reviews and lessons learnt analysis into previous projects.
  • Inputting to Commercial Pro Formas where required.
  • Maintain bid tracker and management of documents.
  • Analyse market trends & competitors to support commercial models in country.
  • Support on Income forecast analysis & reports, generating reports and highlighting trends.
  • Support updating Salesforce with commercial information on projects.
  • Track Go/No Go decisions, bid submissions, win losses etc for improved analysis and feedback.

Skills & Experience

Essential:

  • Experience in a commercial, business development, or finance role within consultancy, international development, or professional services.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in financial modelling or project costing.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills, particularly in managing templates, trackers, and shared resources.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; experience with Salesforce or other CRM platforms is an advantage.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to distil technical and commercial information.
