The Commercial Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth, margin optimization, and market share expansion across government entities, industrial accounts, and commercial customers.

  • Identify, qualify, and pursue opportunities within government ministries, parastatals, and public infrastructure projects.
  • Develop and execute account plans for industrial segments- manufacturing, mining, construction, transport, hospitality.
  • Draft, review, and execute supply agreements, framework contracts, and credit terms in collaboration with legal and audit teams.
  • Partner with supply, logistics, and operations to ensure product availability, delivery, and service quality.
  • Market intelligence and reporting focus on policy changes, and demand trends across government and industrial sectors.
  • Advanced negotiation, contract management, and commercial acumen.
  • Strong analytical skills: margin analysis, cost-to-serve modeling, pricing strategies.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and executive communication.
  • Proficiency in ERP (SAP or equivalent), MS Excel, and tender portals.
  • Knowledge of full commercial lifecycle—from opportunity identification and bid management to contract negotiation, pricing strategy, and account retention.
  • Strong analytical skills: margin analysis, cost-to-serve modeling, pricing strategies.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and executive communication.
  • Proficiency in ERP (SAP or equivalent), MS Excel, and tender portals.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field and professional sales certifications preferred.
  • Experience: 5+ years in B2B/B2G sales within oil & gas, energy, or industrial sectors; proven track record in government and institutional sales.
  • Industry Knowledge: Knowledge of fuels, lubricants and value-added services; familiarity with public procurement frameworks and compliance.
