Content Creation and Management: Write, edit, and distribute content such as press releases, website copy, newsletters, speeches, and social media updates. Media Relations: Build and maintain relationships with journalists, respond to media inquiries, arrange interviews, and prepare media kits and talking points for spokespersons. Internal Communications: Develop and manage internal newsletters and communications to keep staff informed and engaged. Digital Communications: Manage and maintain the organization's social media presence, websites, and digital archives, ensuring consistent branding and messaging across all platforms. Strategic Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive communication plans and strategies, often in collaboration with marketing and product teams, to promote the brand and achieve organizational goals. Public Opinion Research: Conduct surveys and research to understand public opinion and identify opportunities for effective communication. Event Coordination: Organize and coordinate events, such as press conferences, tours, and exhibitions, to promote the organization.
Writing and Editing: Exceptional skills in news-writing, op-eds, editing, and producing various content types. Public Relations: Proven ability to build and manage relationships with media and stakeholders. Digital Proficiency: Expertise in using content management systems (CMS), social media platforms, and digital media tools like Adobe Suite and Canva. Project Management: Ability to plan, execute, and manage communication projects and campaigns effectively. Interpersonal and Presentation Skills: Strong verbal and written communication, with the ability to present information to different audiences. Organizational Skills: Excellent time management and organizational skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
