Role Summary

The Communications Volunteer will support the planning and execution of communication activities for the She Code Africa Summit 2026. They will help coordinate communications, support campaign execution, engage with the community, and ensure timely dissemination of information across owned channels.

Responsibilities

  • Support execution of the summit communications plan
  • Assist with creating blog content across She Code Africa's communication channels
  • Assist with email communication and newsletter preparation
  • Support media and partner communication where assigned
  • Help track campaign activities and maintain communication calendars
  • Assist in preparing reports on campaign performance and engagement
  • Support on-ground communication activities during the summit
  • Carry out any other communication-related tasks assigned by the MMC team

Requirements

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organisational and coordination skills
  • Familiarity with social media platforms
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Passion for community building and women in technology
