Description

Lifebridge Hospital is seeking a qualified and compassionate Community Oral Health Officer (COHO) to provide preventive, promotive, and basic curative oral health services. The successful candidate will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality oral healthcare delivery in a clinical setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide preventive and basic curative oral health services to patients
  • Conduct oral health assessments, screenings, and patient education
  • Perform scaling, polishing, extractions (as permitted), and other COHO procedures
  • Promote oral health awareness and preventive practices within the community
  • Maintain accurate patient records and treatment notes
  • Assist dentists and other healthcare professionals during procedures when required
  • Adhere to infection prevention and control protocols
  • Ensure proper handling and maintenance of dental equipment and materials
  • Uphold professional ethics and patient confidentiality at all times

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Community Oral Health from a recognized institution
  • Mandatory registration with the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council (KMPDC)
  • Valid practicing license
  • 1–2 years’ experience in a busy clinical healthcare setting
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate is an added advantage
