Role Summary
Our client is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Lead dMRV / Compliance Officer to oversee the facility's Digital Monitoring, Reporting and Verification (dMRV) programme. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate data collection, carbon accounting, compliance reporting, and adherence to carbon credit certification requirements. This role is critical in maintaining the integrity, traceability, and compliance of the facility's carbon monitoring and reporting systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the facility's dMRV system to ensure efficient and accurate data collection and reporting.
- Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and traceability of production and carbon accounting data.
- Prepare monitoring reports, compliance documentation, and supporting records required for certification and verification processes.
- Coordinate internal and external audits, inspections, and verification activities.
- Liaise with auditors, verifiers, certification bodies, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Train and support facility staff on dMRV data collection procedures, reporting requirements, and compliance standards.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with applicable carbon standards, protocols, and reporting frameworks.
- Identify data quality issues and implement corrective actions to maintain data integrity.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to monitoring, reporting, verification, and compliance systems.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science, Data Science, Engineering, Agronomy, Sustainability, or a related field.
- Minimum of three (3) years' experience in carbon markets, Monitoring, Reporting and Verification (MRV), sustainability reporting, environmental compliance, or environmental data management.
- Familiarity with biochar carbon standards such as Puro.earth, European Biochar Certificate (EBC), and International Biochar Initiative (IBI) standards will be an added advantage.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent data management and reporting capabilities.
- High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and integrity.
- Strong organizational and project coordination skills.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management abilities.
