Responsibilities

As a Community Health Assistant, you will play a crucial role in extending healthcare services to the community. Your duties will include:

  • Conducting health screenings and assessments in the community.
  • Providing health education and counseling to individuals and families.
  • Referring patients to the hospital or other healthcare facilities when necessary.
  • Collecting health data and maintaining records.
  • Collaborating with community leaders and other stakeholders to promote health initiatives.
  • Assisting in the implementation of public health programs.

Qualifications and Experience

We are looking for dedicated individuals who meet the following criteria:

  • Degree/Diploma in Public Health, Community Health, or a related field.
  • Must be a practicing Christian willing to adhere to, abide by and sign the Statement of Faith of AIC Kenya.
  • Experience in public health programs of at least 2 years, preferably in rural or resource-limited settings.
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and presentation skills.
  • Must demonstrate a high level of integrity.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and communication ability in Kiswahili and English.
  • Driving license is an added advantage.
