Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager with a proven track record in internal fit-out and finishing works. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading, coordinating, and managing all aspects of high-quality interior construction projects, from planning to completion. This role requires exceptional attention to detail, strong leadership, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Delivery

  • Oversee the planning, execution, and handover of fit-out and finishing projects.
  • Develop and monitor project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
  • Ensure works are delivered in compliance with contractual requirements, health and safety standards, and company quality benchmarks.

Technical Oversight

  • Manage interior construction works, including partitions, flooring, ceilings, joinery, MEP integration, and final finishes.
  • Review and approve shop drawings, specifications, and material submittals.
  • Conduct quality inspections to ensure flawless execution of finishes.

Stakeholder Management

  • Act as the primary point of contact between ISM Africa, clients, consultants, and contractors.
  • Manage subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to maintain alignment with project goals.
  • Provide clear, timely reporting on project progress, risks, and mitigation plans.

Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead project teams, fostering collaboration and accountability.
  • Mentor junior staff and ensure adherence to best practices.
  • Promote a culture of safety, efficiency, and high-quality delivery.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum 7–10 years of experience in construction project management.
  • Strong technical knowledge of finishing trades and interior detailing.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and complex stakeholder relationships.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software (MS Project, Primavera, or similar).
  • Professional certifications (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent) will be an added advantage.
