Responsibilities or duties
Content Production & Execution
- Video Production & Editing: Plan, shoot, and edit content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube, and LinkedIn (using Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut, or equivalent tools).
- Content Ideation & Scripting: Develop engaging video concepts, storylines, and scripts for different platforms.
- Photography & Graphic Support: Capture high-quality photos for social media, events, and marketing materials.
- Event Coverage: Provide real-time social media updates, photography, and video content for live events, webinars, and hackathons.
Social Media Scheduling & Monitoring
- Schedule & Post Content: Manage the content calendar and ensure timely posting across all platforms.
- Monitor Social Media Performance: Track engagement, reach, and audience interactions.
- Analyze & Report Insights: Provide reports on content performance and suggest improvements.
- Engagement & Trend Monitoring: Track social media trends, hashtags, and competitor activity.
Content Strategy & Optimization
- Content Repurposing – Adapt existing content (e.g., blog posts, event recordings, webinars) into engaging social media posts, short clips, and infographics.
- User-Generated Content (UGC) Strategy – Encourage, collect, and curate content from students, alumni, and partners to enhance credibility.
- SEO for Social Media – Optimize post captions, descriptions, and hashtags to improve search visibility on platforms like YouTube and Instagram.
Social Media Engagement & Community Management
- Community Engagement – Actively respond to comments, messages, and mentions to foster community interaction.
- Brand Reputation Management – Monitor and address brand-related discussions, reviews, and crises.
- Influencer & Ambassador Collaboration – Identify and engage influencers, alumni, and industry leaders for partnerships and content collaborations.
- Polls, Contests & Challenges – Organize interactive campaigns such as giveaways, Q&As, and challenges to boost engagement.
- Customer Support on Social Media – Assist in handling inquiries, complaints, and feedback via DMs and comments.
Live Content & Events Support
- Live Streaming Management – Host and moderate live sessions, webinars, and virtual Q&As on platforms like LinkedIn, Instagram, and YouTube.
- Behind-the-Scenes (BTS) Content – Share real-time updates from events, office culture, and product development to create a more relatable brand presence.
- Event Partnerships & Cross-Promotion – Collaborate with event organizers, partners, and sponsors to co-promote events and workshops.
Data Analytics & Insights:
- A/B Testing for Content Performance – Experiment with different formats, styles, and posting times to identify the best-performing content.
- Sentiment Analysis – Track and analyze audience sentiment to improve content direction and brand reputation.
- Competitor & Industry Benchmarking – Monitor competitor activities and trends to identify opportunities for content differentiation.
Including any other responsibility that may be assigned within the scope of Moringa.
Organizational:
- Communicate with colleagues via Slack, Email, and project management tools.
- Use Asana, OKR trackers, and other digital tools.
- Participate in weekly team and company-wide meetings.
- Stay updated on digital media trends.
Reporting:
- Track performance against set OKRs for social media engagement.
- Provide periodic reports on social media insights and trends.
- Monitor customer feedback and social media sentiment.
Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)
Education & Experience
- A Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, Journalism, or a related field is often preferred.
- 4- 5 years of proven experience in managing social media platforms for a brand or organization, including content creation, scheduling, and community engagement. A portfolio showcasing past social media work is highly beneficial.
