Job Description

The Cook I, KEWI 10 reports to the Senior Cook, KEWI 9.

Person Specifications

For appointment to this grade, an officer must have: -

• Served for a cumulative period of six (6) years relevant work experience of, three (3) at the grade of Cook II or in a comparable position;
• Certificate in any of the following Courses: - Food Production, Food and Beverage Production, Catering and Hotel Management or equivalent qualification lasting not less than six (6) months from a recognised institution;
• Certificate of medical examination in line with the Food, Drugs and Chemical Substance Act;
• Proficiency in computer applications; and
• Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.

Work Hours: 8

Experience in Months: 12

Level of Education: professional certificate

• Certificate of Compliance from the Higher Education Loans Board (HELB);
• Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) Tax Compliance Clearance; and
• Certificate of Clearance from the Credit Reference Bureau (CRB).
