Key Responsibilities:

  • Executing the consistent implementation of the brands customer value proposition within the section.
  • Provision of excellent quality products to each customer.
  • Demand and require consistent and quality ingredients to produce customer products.
  • Focus on executing Kitchen standard operating procedures each day.
  • Ensure proper and consistent production procedures for each order.
  • Ensure strict adherence to health, hygiene, and safety standards at the Kitchen section.
  • Ensure Kitchen section complies with ALL set regulatory, environmental, health and safety standards as well as
  • industry operational best practices to ensure delivery of an uninterrupted and consistent exceptional customer experience.
  • Ensuring adherence to proper stock management procedures at Kitchen section.
  • Ensuring strict adherence to proper recipes and portion control.
  • Minimizing waste by guiding Front of House on items that need to be upsold.
  • With the Assistant from the Manager - BOH, ensure proper ordering and stock control procedures.
  • Ensure that Kitchen equipment is well used and properly maintained.
  • Maintain proper records on the movement of Kitchen smalls, cutlery and crockery.

Qualifications

  • Preferred age is between 23-30 years old
  • Certificate in Hospitality.
  • 1 to 2 years restaurant experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrable principle in line with Interstate Culture (Core Values PIDQ-Passion Integrity Dignity and Quality and the brand persona BOSS - Bold Open Spirited Simple).
  • Ability to interact and work with diverse, young, and vibrant teams.
  • Food safety culture - good understanding of food safety practices.
  • Ability to execute with speed and accuracy.
  • Ability to operate in a fast paced, high-pressure environment.
